Grant Green has begun playing some left field at Triple-A. Green had played the outfield in the Oakland A’s system, so he’s simply getting “reacquainted” with it, Scioscia said, in an effort to improve his versatility. Although the Angels currently have two corner outfielders injured in the majors, it’s not realistic to think Green could be ready to play every day at one of those spots before they come back.

The Angels are going to need to add a bench player at some point in the next week. A right-handed bat would make a lot of sense, especially if that right-handed bat can at least fake it in the outfield a little bit. Stay tuned.
