Get it? Because his name is Jewell. Anyway, Jewell is a JUCO player committed to Oklahoma next year, so there could be some question about his signability. Then again, he isn’t in the BA Top 500, so he might come below slot if he does sign. If he does sign with the Angels, he is a guy who does strictly profile as a reliever as he is armed with a big fastball but his secondary stuff is a work in progress. If it all works out for him, he could be a real “diamond” in the rough.
