Josh Hamilton was back, now he isn’t. Or maybe he is and he just isn’t playing. Who knows? Here’s tonight’s Angels lineup:

The team hasn’t said why Hamilton isn’t playing, opening the door for us all to speculate that maybe his shoulder is acting up again. They could just have easily said that Paxton is a killer lefty, so they sat Josh as a result, but maybe they thought that might hurt his fragile ego. I guess we will just have to wait and see if Scioscia explains his absence or if Hamilton magically appears in tomorrow’s lineup.
