The October 7th, 2014 edition of daily news for the Los Angeles Angels including Angels World Series window closing, Dipoto believe Angels have foundation for success and much more…

The Story: The window for the Angels to win a World Series might already be closing.
The Monkey Says: Yep, I wrote pretty much the same thing yesterday. 2014 was their best chance and they should be a not quite as good chance in 2015, after that, they could be headed for some real dark times.  NO PRESSURE!

The Story: Jerry Dipoto believes the Angels have a foundation for success.
The Monkey Says: When one of your four young building blocks just suffered a catastrophic knee injury and another one is a middle reliever, then I scoff at you for thinking that somehow sets up the Angels for years of prolonged success, even if one of the remaining building blocks is Mike Trout.

The Story: Mike Trout admits he got a bit caught up in the postseason and was trying to do too much at the plate.
The Monkey Says: This seems to be a bit of a thing for Trout. He wants to come through in the clutch and be a hero and “gets too big,” taking himself out of his approach. He is aware of the problem, so he should be able to correct the issue.

The Story: A post-mortem of the 2014 Angels season.
The Monkey Says: He’s dead, Jim.
