In the least surprising news in the history of history, Mike Trout was voted the 2014 AL MVP. In somewhat less surprising news, the BBWAA didn’t muck things up and gave him the award with a unanimous vote:

What? He didn’t? They screwed it up twice? Ugh.
This is Trout’s first MVP, apparently, but it probably won’t be his last… unless the BBWAA starts trolling Trout again. That possibility can’t be ruled out.
Congrats, Mike. You deserve it. You deserved it in 2012 and 2013 as well, not that Angels fans dwell on that or anything.
