The December 16th, 2014 edition of daily news for the Los Angeles Angels including Angels 12-to-1 to win World Series, can Josh Rutledge replace Howie Kendrick and much more…

The Story: The Angels have the tied for the fourth-best odds to win the World Series, according to Vegas sportsbooks.
The Monkey Says: Tied with the Tigers (OK) and the Cubs (huh?). These odds are meaningless anyway, but the sudden helium the Cubs have is a bit far-fetched. It wasn’t like they were good last year. They could very well be good in 2015, but they have a very big hill to climb.

The Story: Is Josh Rutledge ready to replace Howie Kendrick?
The Monkey Says: I kind of doubt it. I mean, he might literally replace him in the starting lineup, but I really don’t think Rutledge is any good. Frankly, I’m still not sure that any of the current players on the roster are going to be the ones tabbed to fill Howie’s shoes.

The Story: Should the Angels pursue Korean shortstop Jung-Ho Kang?
The Monkey Says: It seems like it could be a worthwhile gamble, but there is also no indication that the Angels are interested.

The Story: Mike Trout is the third-most mentioned MLB player on Twitter.
The Monkey Says: Joey Bats is first, but he is also a cheater because he follows almost everyone in the world.
