The February 4th, 2015 edition of Los Angeles Angels news including Josh Hamilton needs shoulder surgery, the Angels top rivals and much more…
The Story: Josh Hamilton might miss the start of the season due to shoulder surgery.
The Monkey Says: Because of course. Losing Hamilton for a few weeks early in the season isn’t the worst thing in the world, but finding out that his condition might be arthritic certainly doesn’t make me feel better as it suggests he’ll still be impacted even after he returns. This Hamilton contract just keeps on looking better, doesn’t it?
The Story: Ranking every team’s top rival.
The Monkey Says: It goes Dodgers, A’s, Rangers for the Halos. I’d be inclined to put Oakland ahead of the Doyers since they actually play each other more often. I can’t really get behind the Freeway Series as a top rival since I think it doesn’t mean as much to the players as it does to the fans.
The Story: Looking at the Angels outfield depth chart in lieu of spring training.
The Monkey Says: This was posted about five hours before the Hamilton news, so it had a nice long run of being relevant. Sorry, Alden.
The Story: The top ten first baseman in MLB.
The Monkey Says: Albert Pujols is only an honorable mention. Go ahead and take your outrage to the comments section.
