Spring Training a great opportunity for cheap tickets and fun atmosphere for Angels fans

The 2014 Los Angeles Angels season was one of disappointment, with high expectations cut short by a team of destiny. The Angels finished the regular season with the best record in baseball, but were swept by the World Series runner up Kansas City Royals in the ALDS.

Fortunately, the Angels are in position to compete for another World Series behind the 2014 regular season MVP Mike Trout. Trout batted .287 with 36 home runs and 111 RBI to earn the award at 23 years old. Supporting Trout is future Hall-of-Famer Albert Pujols and slugger Josh Hamilton. The Angels also have a top of the rotation starter in Jered Weaver, who is coming off an 18-win season.

The Angels will contend for the AL West title again, but will begin their 2015 campaign at their Spring Training facility in Tempe, Arizona.

The Los Angeles Angels host their Spring Training games at Tempe Diablo Stadium, where the lowest average ticket price for a game is $48 when they face the Milwaukee Brewers on March 5th according to TiqIQ.com. The Angels’ in-state rival, the San Francisco Giants, bring the highest average ticket price, $96.12, when they face off on March 21st. No other Spring Training game for the Angels at Tempe Diablo Stadium has an average ticket price over $90.

Spring Training baseball is a large attraction for the people in the Tempe, Arizona, and Hipmunk.com has options all your travel and accommodation plans. Flights to Tempe through Sky Harbor International Airport typically range from $200-$400. Affordable lodging opportunities can be found at Hipmunk as well, where hotels in Tempe have room rates for as low as $65.

In theory, the Angels 2015 season outlook is simple. Repeat their 2014 regular season success, but flip the postseason script. That theory will be tested soon, as Spring Training is just around the corner.
