The June 19th, 2015 edition of Los Angeles Angels news including Angels remain patient with Joyce, Rasmus to begin rehab assignment and much more…

The Story: The Angels are trying to remain patient with Matt Joyce.
The Monkey Says: This is a big change after they seemingly benched him prior to the Arizona series. They still are treating his playing time oddly though. It seems less like the Angels are being patient with Joyce so much as patiently waiting for a replacement for Joyce to arrive.

The Story: Cory Rasmus will begin a rehab assignment in Salt Lake today.
The Monkey Says: He has missed most of the season, so he might need a few weeks. However, he is starting his rehab at Triple-A, so maybe he’s been throwing well enough on the side that he could be readier than we realize.

The Story: Mike Scioscia was not pleased with C.J. Wilson’s reckless slide in yesterday’s game.
The Monkey Says: I don’t think anyone liked that. C.J. is clearly the guy on your beer league softball game that takes things way too seriously.

The Story: Analyzing the draft for each AL West team.
The Monkey Says: Not a lot of new information here, but hey, it is draft prospect porn. Take what you can get.

The Story: A profile of Angels prospect Trevor Gretzky, son of Wayne Gretzky.
The Monkey Says: Nice profile, but Trevor isn’t really much of a prospect.
