Penn State junior QB Kevin Newsome has decided to leave the team, according to Lions 247.
Newsome saw action in 10 games during his freshman season in 2009, but saw his time decrease in 2010, playing in only 6 games behind Matt McGloin and Robert Bolden. A highly touted recruit, he was rated the 10th best QB in the class of 2009 by Scout.com
