I had been in contact with an Alabama fan dating back to the spring, when this person reached out to me in response to the Penn State blogosphere pulling together to raise money for the victims of the Alabama tornado destruction. After a few months without hearing from her, she got in touch with me to finally update me on her father in law’s trip to Beaver Stadium for this season’s Penn State-Alabama game.
Here is what she had to say;
He was so complimentary of the Penn State folks. He said they were all so very nice and polite both before and after the game, giving him “Roll Tides” as he walked by, and even bragging on the Alabama football team. He has been to every stadium/campus in the SEC and a few outside the SEC, and he said your campus was the most beautiful he had ever seen. He had nothing but praise for Happy Valley and Penn State. I am so glad that class still exists in football, and I know your coach has a lot to do with that.
