Big Ten spring conference calls scheduled April 10-11

You know college football is starting to get in gear when the spring media days and conference calls are set up. Penn State opened their spring practices on Monday, headlined by Bill O’Brien’s first press conference since being introduced as head coach.

On Thursday the Big Ten offices sent out the memo about their spring football teleconferences, which will take place over the course of two days. Coaches from the Legends Division will go first on April 10 from 12 p.m.-2 p.m. Eastern, and those from the Leaders Division will follow on April 11 during the same time frame.

Some schools will be having players scheduled for the teleconferences as well. Wisconsin running back Montee Ball, Ohio State tight end Jake Stoneburner, Indiana defensive tackle Larry Black Jr., Purdue defensive tackle Kawann Short and Illinois quarterback Nathan Scheelhaase are currently scheduled from the Leaders Division. Defensive tackle Jordan Hill will be on the call from Penn State, prior to head coach Bill O’Brien.

Michigan safety Jordan Kovacs, Iowa quarterback James Vandenberg, Northwestern quarterback Kain Colter, Michigan State quarterback Andrew Maxwell, Minnesota quarterback MarQueis Gray and Nebraska running back Rex Burkhead will join the Legends Division conference call along with their respective head coaches.
