ESPN, NBC Sports and Big Ten Network released broadcast information for 115 games Wednesday afternoon, including two Penn State football games.
Penn State’s season opener against Ohio (September 1) will be aired on ESPN, with kickoff scheduled for 12 p.m., immediately following ESPN College GameDay. Penn State’s home game against Navy on September 15 will be shown on ABC or ESPN2, with split coverage depending on region. Kickoff for the Military Appreciation Day game is set for 3:30 p.m.
To date, Penn State will appear on one of ESPN’s outlets for the first three games of the season. Penn State’s home game against Temple on September 22 has a decent chance to be picked up by ESPN as well, with the Owls now a Big East program and a possibility of both teams being undefeated heading in to the match-up. Otherwise, look for the Big Ten Network to attempt to grab the game.
