Mike Wallace to miss season, secondary get thinner

On Monday it became public that redshirt junior Mike Wallace, CB, would not play for Penn State during the 2012 football season due to a bicep injury. Wallace will remain with the team in a leadership role for the season, however.

Wallace’s injury caused him to miss most of spring practice and hindered his ability to full workout with the team during the summer. Because of O’Brien having only been able to see very little of Wallace, O’Brien left Wallace off the depth chart that was released in early June.

Mike Wallace is scheduled to graduate this coming December with a degree in Telecommunications. In addition to Wallace’s time with the team at Penn State, he has his own radio show, Off The Wallz, on TheLion.fm twice a week, has interned with local radio station, B94.5, and has worked on his music career in a group named Primary Element. This September, Mike Wallace anticipates to release his first solo album, The Free Life.
