Coquese Washington added another member to her 2013 recruiting class in the 5-7 guard, Lindsey Spann from Laurel, MD. This came to our attention from Michael Wallace Sr, father of former Penn State football player Mike Wallace Jr, wrote about it on his facebook page. Here is what his status had to say:
Special congratulations to Good Counsel’s rising senior Lindsey Spann. After receiving dozens of bball scholarship offers from some of the top college programs all over the country, Lindsey committed to Penn State University (PSU) this past weekend!!!
The 5’ 7” point guard helped lead the Good Counsel bball Team to win the 2012 WCAC Championship and became the first team in league history to go undefeated. GC finished the 2012 season ranked 3rd by the Washington Post with a 30-5 and 18-0 in the WCAC. A couple of weeks ago, Lindsey help lead GC to win the 2012 Best of Maryland Tournament Championship.
Lindsey is considered by most the best pure point guard in the DMV. Currently Lindsey is ranked 23rd in the nation by ESPN at the point guard position with a Scout Grade of 90. This past 2012 season Lindsey was selected to the following: First Team All Gazette, First Team All Sentinel, First Team All DCSportsfan, First Team All WCAC and 2nd Team All Met. Not only is Lindsey a beast on the court, but also in the class room. Lindsey has a cumulative GPA of 3.5. Way to go Lindsey and enjoy your senior year!
