Finally getting a chance to regroup after signing day
Greg Pickel of PennLive broke down the explanation of how Penn State has two extra scholarships to use. Basically, three early enrollees were able to be counted against Penn State’s Class of 2014 enrollment. However that works out, Penn State is still at 85 scholarship players by my count, so I am trying to confirm just how there are two more scholarships available. If anyone has more information on this, feel free to clue me in. Maybe I’m just a dummy (Plausible).
Now a Nittany Lion, Whitehall running back Saquon Barkley says he chose Penn State in his own story in The Morning Call.
Penn State Recruiting Updates
We are probably a good way away from starting to have some continuous recruiting news and notes here, but with the Class of 2015 still getting settled the reviews are still coming in. Penn State was solid. Dave Bartoo from CFB Matrix crunched the recruiting numbers and determined Penn State and Arizona State had the biggest increases in recruiting rankings based on four-year averages. For Penn State, the reasons why recruiting has been down in recent seasons needs no real explanation. Arizona State is interesting though. That program has really turned things around recently, and it is paying off in recruiting.
Pickel once again has a couple of quick notes about Penn State’s Class of 2016 plan of attack and what to pay attention to.
