Least Expensive Penn State Football Tickets Available For Game Against San Diego State

Penn State didn’t stress too much over their 28-3 win over Rutgers last Saturday, while the Rutgers football program is in a downward spiral following recent events that have occurred over the past few weeks.

For the Nittany Lions, the victory extended their winning streak to two games after defeating Buffalo two weeks ago. Running back Saquon Barkley — a former Rutgers recruit, according to ESPN — was the most effective Penn State player, rushing for 195 yards and two touchdowns. It was the Big Ten conference opener for the Nittany Lions and although it was an underwhelming opponent, they passed their first test with flying colors. Penn State impressively rushed for 330 yards as a team.

The Nittany Lions still can’t get quarterback Christian Hackenberg going however, but if there’s a silver lining, it was the second consecutive game where the Nittany Lions gave up zero sacks, something Hackenberg obviously welcomes. The Penn State quarterback only completed 10-of-19 passes for 141 yards with one interception late in the game, but as long as he continues to get good protection, it’s only a matter of time before he begins to break out.

Penn State has another winnable game on tap before diving into the thick of their Big Ten conference schedule. This week’s game against the San Diego State Aztecs at home has an average ticket price of $73.23 and a get-in price of $37 for entrance into Beaver Stadium on September 26. It is the least expensive Penn State football tickets on the secondary market left on the schedule.

With it being the cheapest game remaining, it can be an opportune time for fans of the program to get to the game and watch the Nittany Lions in person. Flights to Harrisburg can have fans within 90 miles of the Penn State campus, where State College hotels can be reserved from $59 to complete a trip to Happy Valley.

After the San Diego State game, Penn State has a game against Army on October 3. Then the real fun begins in the Big Ten — Penn State faces No. 1-ranked Ohio State on the road, Maryland on the road, Illinois at home, Northwestern back on the road, before concluding the season opposite Michigan at home and No. 2-ranked Michigan State on the road. It’ll be tough sledding for Penn State, but if they figure out some of their offensive line issues and Hackenberg can play up to the best of his abilities, the Nittany Lions will have plenty of opportunities to make noise in the conference.
