After sweeping Minnesota over the weekend, Florida State’s ranking at #4 was unchanged in the USA Today Coaches Poll on Monday. The Seminoles sit behind ACC foe Virginia, Oregon State and Louisiana-Lafayette.
While Florida State remained fourth in the Coaches Poll, FSU did move up in both the Baseball America and NCBWA polls. In the Baseball America poll, the Seminoles moved up a spot from sixth to fifth. The NCBWA poll was where Florida State made its biggest move, going from sixth to fourth.
Although Florida State moved up in two of the four major polls, it actually fell a spot in the Collegiate Baseball poll. After rounding out the top 5 last week, the Seminoles dropped to sixth this week, just behind in-state rivals Florida and Miami.
Florida State will look to turn some heads this week as it faces Stetson on Tuesday before visiting a good North Carolina club over the weekend.
