In this week’s “Share Your Seminole Story”, we asked our readers which quarterback they would like to see emerge as the starter in 2015.
From the Staff
This is a situation where I really don’t think Florida State can go wrong. I would however, like to Sean Maguire get the first crack at winning the job this spring. In his only career start against Clemson last season, Maguire passed for over 300 yards and led the Seminoles back from two 7-point deficits to ultimately engineer a 23-17 victory in a game that has decided the ACC’s Atlantic division in each of the last five years.
With that said, I think talent will ultimately win out. Deondre Francois and De’Andre Johnson each have potentially bright futures at FSU, but having practiced for a year in the system will be a big advantage and the guy my money is on is redshirt freshman J.J. Consentino.
He’s a Pennsylvania quarterback with a big arm and deceptive athleticism. I think Consentino will give the Seminoles the best chance to win in 2015, but I don’t think it would be unwise to find a special package to utilize Francois, Johnson or even John Franklin III’s athletic ability. In all, this is a situation where it doesn’t seem that FSU can go wrong.

Sean Maguire has already won some over…
@Noled_Out leaning to SMAG, not flashy, but effective. #OMGwegottheballback#clemson#classic

Some weren’t picky…
@Noled_Out whichever one can get us to 10-11 wins. Kinda want JJ to win it though. Let the success with RS freshman continue!

Some are ready for another redshirt freshman…
@Noled_Out JJ and Maguire to transfer. If he struggles, Deondre Johnson depending on Francois' knowledge of offense.
