Florida State took its third straight series over the weekend, taking two of three from Coastal Carolina at Dick Howser Stadium. The Chanticleers came in ranked in two polls and for FSU, it was a second straight series victory over a ranked team. The Seminoles took the first two games easily, but failed to complete the sweep on Sunday. Florida State is now 35-14 for the season with only seven games remaining before the ACC Tournament. Following a Tuesday trip to Stetson, Florida State will open a 3-game set at Louisville beginning Friday.

Friday, May 1st
Florida State starting pitcher Boomer Biegalski overcame early control problems to strike out a career-high 12 batters and take a no-hitter into the seventh inning before picking up the win. G.K. Young homered for Coastal Carolina to lead off the seventh for the first hit of the night for the Chanticleers. For Florida State, D.J. Stewart left the yard and finished with three hits, three runs and five driven in. Ben DeLuzio drove in three runs for the Seminoles while Quincy Nieporte and Darren Miller each plated a pair. John Sansone scored three times and was one of five Seminoles to have multiple hits.

Saturday, May 2nd
Pitcher Mike Compton allowed just a run on five hits in seven innings as Florida State clinched the series over Coastal Carolina. D.J. Stewart and Chris Marconcini each homered and drove in two runs for FSU in the win. Eight different Seminoles scored runs. Tyler Chadwick went 2-for-4 with a RBI for the Chanticleers in the loss.

Sunday, May 3rd
Bobby Holmes threw six innings of scoreless relief to improve to 4-0 on the year as Coastal Carolina avoided being swept in Tallahassee. G.K. Young went 3-for-4 with a run and a RBI in the victory for the Chanticleers. Anthony Marks also had three hits and a run. Both Florida State runs came in the fourth inning. Josh Delph scored on a balk before John Sansone came home on a passed ball.
