It was a tough week for the Toronto Blue Jays, but one of the few bright spots was a former Florida State second baseman, who had just returned from injury.
Devon Travis is the Professio”Nole” Athlete of the Week for the week of June 29th through July 5th after hitting .500 in six games this past week.
Travis went 11-for-22 for the Blue Jays with a pair of doubles, four runs scored and four RBIs. For the season, Travis is hitting .297 which would lead Toronto if he had enough at-bats to qualify. Travis remains in the thick of the Rookie of the Year conversation despite missing more than a month with a shoulder injury.
