Despite an impressive 59-16 victory over Texas State, Florida State dropped out of the top 10 in the Associated Press Poll released Tuesday.

The Seminoles were replaced by Notre Dame, who moved up two spots from 11th to ninth after handling Texas 38-3 on Saturday. The Fighting Irish also jumped Georgia, who fell a spot to No. 10. FSU fell one spot from 10th to 11th.

In the Amway Coaches Poll, the Seminoles held strong at No. 8 between Auburn and Georgia. Ohio State topped both polls after beating Virginia Tech on Monday night.

Alabama jumped TCU in both polls to move from third to second. The Horned Frogs are third in both polls ahead of Baylor. Michigan State is fifth in the AP Poll while Oregon is No. 5 in the Coaches Poll.

The Ducks were No. 7 in the AP Poll behind Auburn, but ahead of USC, Notre Dame and Georgia respectively. In the Coaches Poll, Michigan State was sixth. USC rounded out the top 10 for the second week in a row.

The No. 11 spot is the lowest the Seminoles have been in either poll in over two years. Florida State began the 2013 season ranked 12th in the Coaches Poll. FSU will look to improve to 2-0 this Saturday as it plays host to South Florida.
