Highly-decorated Florida State freshman and former McDonald’s All-American guard Dwayne Bacon’s anticipated debut did not disappoint on Sunday as Bacon led the Seminoles past Nicholls State, 109-62 in the 2015-16 opener.
Bacon is the Florida State Basketball Player of the Week for the week of November 9th through the 15th after finishing with game-highs of 23 points and 8 rebounds in Sunday’s victory.
Bacon was 9-for-15 from the field and was a perfect 4-for-4 from the foul line. Bacon also knocked down a 3-pointer in the victory and notched a pair of steals. Bacon’s monster debut came without committing a turnover.
Bacon and FSU will be back in action on Monday against Jacksonville at home before heading to the Virgin Islands for three games.
