Houston, TX – Worldwide Gladiator Championship (WGC) is hosting their first Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) Championship Series fight event on April 9, 2010 at the Pasadena Convention Center with proceeds going toward building schools for children in Haiti. WGC is an entertainment and promotional company based in Los Angeles, CA, and has recently expanded operations with an office in Houston.
The island of Haiti, the poorest nation in the Western Hemisphere, was hit by a catastrophic 7.0 magnitude earthquake on January 12, 2010. Southern Haiti was tragically damaged, killing over two hundred thousand people. Join us in our endeavors, and together we can make a difference in many people’s lives.
Businessman and rapper Percy “Master P” Miller has joined the cause and will be making a special appearance at the event in an attempt to raise funds for the people of Haiti. “Mixed Martial Arts is the fastest growing sports in the world,” Master P said of his involvement in the MMA fight. “And to have the WGC bring awareness to education and helping the kids in Haiti get back into the school systems, I’m in. Together we can make a difference.”
Invited celebrities and professional athletes such as Vince Young, Chamillionaire, Kyle Lowry, Marcus Spears, Torrie Wilson, Michael Clayton, LeToya Luckett, & Mario Williams will be some of the names on the VIP list attending the event.
WGC heavyweight fighter Sam “The Alaskan Assassin” Hoger will headline the card along with several local fighters joining the cause such as “Big Time” Nick Mitchell, Jon “El Jaguar” Kirk, Artenas “The Machine Gun” Young, Kenny “The Hurt” Burke and Nate Garza. Sam Hoger, most notable for appearing on the first season of UFC’s “The Ultimate Fighter” says, “We are dedicated to making a real difference in the lives of these underprivileged kids through education.”

Ticket information: General Admission $30.00, Preferred Seating $50.00, Extra Preferred Seating $75.00, VIP Seating $100.00 and Ringside VIP Seating $150.00. Doors open at 6:00 p.m. and the first fight begins at 8:00 p.m.
