As if we had to remind anyone here in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex that next Saturday is the highly anticipated Manny Pacquiao – Antonio Margarito showdown at Cowboys Stadium.  It will be inarguably the biggest combative sporting event to ever hit the North Texas region and will present an unprecedented amount of international attention to our neck of the woods, well at least until the Super Bowl takes place at the same venue in February.

Still, the promoters behind the Pacquiao-Margarito mega-fight are looking to create an extremely high level of buzz and anticipation as they schedule a number of meet & greet featuring the fighters that will be open to both the media and the public.

Kicking fight week off this Sunday will be two scheduled appearances by none other than Antonio “The Tijuana Tornado” Margarito.  Margarito will first make a personal appearance at the DFW Tamale Festival taking place at Dallas Market Hall.  There, he will make a brief appearance on stage before signing autographs for one hour.

Following his appearance at the DFW Tamale Festival, Margarito will head out to Fort Worth to participate in an open workout at La Gran Plaza Mall.  Margarito will be training in a boxing ring, set-up on center stage, in the middle of the mall.  He will follow his training with an autograph session.
