Fort Worth’s Jose “El Loco” Hernandez continues to solidify his reputation as a fighter not to be f**ked with as he continues to torment some of boxing’s most accomplished young prospects. Hernandez took his tenacity and talents to the desert of Las Vegas Saturday night as he was tabbed to face respected young prospect Micky Bey.
While Bey (16-0-1, 8 KOs) was clearly the “A-side” in this equation, Hernandez utilized his fiery brand of boxing to earn a disputed majority draw. The draw represented the first blemish on Bey’s professional record, but more importantly, it reaffirms what we already know here in North Texas, Hernandez (10-4-1, 4 KOs) is a beast.
Scores were 76-76, 76-76 and 78-74 (Bey)
