It is with little doubt that Sampson’s commitment to excellence has led him to receive accolades such as US Combat Sports 2010 Rookie of the Year for Texas as well as their 2010 Texas Grappler of the Year honors. While humble and easy going outside the cage, inside the cage Sampson is a beast. These attributes paid him well as Sampson was able to pass the first stage of tryouts for the UFC’s next season of The Ultimate Fighter.
