Fresh Off Upset Victory, Anita Rodriguez Returns to Action

When North Texas’ own Anita Rodriguez traveled down to Temple last Saturday to tackle former bodybuilder turned boxer Yvette McCullar it was with the prior knowledge that she was being led to the slaughter the powers that be.  A former model, McCullar was being touted as a Gina Carno type, the marketable blend of beauty and brutality.  Unfortunately, for McCullar and her handlers they failed to recognize Rodriguez’s skill as a fighter.  Already earning recognition for her skills in the cage, Rodriguez traveled down to Temple and left the ring with her hand raised in victory.

Not one to rest on her laurels, Rodriguez will immediately jump back into action as she returns to the confines of the MMA cage this Saturday.  You read that correctly, two fights in two different combative sports within the span of a week.  To say that Rodriguez is a fighter would be a gross understatement.  Like saying that Tupac was just a rapper.  No, Rodriguez is the epitome of a warrior and the Phalanx MMA Academy trained fighter-of-all-trades will mix it up against Erica Torres this Saturday in an MMA fight at the Lucky Star Casino in Concha, Oklahoma.  The event is being promoted by C3 Fights.

It’s simple, fighters fight, and by that definition Rodriguez is all fighter.
