Results were mixed for a pair of North Texas-based pugilists this weekend out in the East Texas city of Nacogdoches.
Fort Worth’s Rafael Richards (1-1, 1 KO) scored an upset of sorts when he stopped the formerly undefeated Jacob Mangum (4-1) with a fourth round TKO. The official time of the stoppage was 0:28 in round four.
Former Dallas amateur stand-out Larry Smith was not as fortunate. Smith (9-5, 6 KOs) dropped a six round majority decision to Cleotis Pendarvis (11-3-2, 4 KOs). Scores were 60-54, 59-55, and 57-57.
