Top 5: CDs I Regret Buying

The universe is conspiring against me making a preview post for today. Instead, it’s a top 5 list. That’s what happens when my computer fucks up at 12 am. Anyway, I’m sure you all love the top 5 and want more of it. The top 5 is inspired by my ipod. It’s the top 5 cds that I regret buying. Yeah, I buy music still because I’m a dope. And don’t know any good stealing sites. Call me people with good stealing sites. Actually, leave them in the comments.

Here is a quick story before we get to the list. Last week, I tried to arrange two interviews. Both participants said yes. One said to clear it with another person first. I email the person. Of course, they don’t write back. I say something to the player and he says he’ll get on it. Of course again, he doesn’t. When I ask him about it, he doesn’t answer. Person two said yes. He emailed me, but of course, it went to my spam folder for two days. I email him the questions and he doesn’t answer. I say something to him, and he doesn’t answer yet again. The whole thing was frustrating, and then tonight the computer goes tits up. It’s been a bad blogging week. One of those weeks where I kinda wish I didn’t have a blog. Oh, there are going to be 2 previews, not 3 this week. The 1-2-2 -2 system works well enough. And we’ll have a full week of UC if I timed things right. Right  now, I’m so pissed at things that I don’t know how anything will work. Anyway, list.

1)      Limp Bizkit – Chocolate Starfish. What a fucking shitty cd this was. I say there are about 4 songs that don’t completely suck on it. The one is good mainly because it was the centerpiece of the Austin/Rock video package at Wrestlemania 17. The rest, just shit. Absolute shit. 3 dollar billz is actually good. Trust me on that one. Anyway, this is the last Limp Bizkit cd I ever bought, and pretty sure heard. Coincidentally, they vanished. You can thank me.

2)      Weezer – the last one. I like Weezer. I’m not a giant Weezer nerd. I own the blue cd. I didn’t care for the one that had Island in the Sun on it. Or the rest for that matter. I really enjoy the sweater song and Buddy Holly and Say It Ain’t So. The red album was cool. Heart Songs is one of the shittiest songs that any big band recorded. I hope Rivers was being ironic, because that song sucked nuts. The last cd was just awful. I gave it three listens, and they all were disappointing. I blame Stephen from CRM and the Big Lead for recommending it.

3)      Eminem – Encore. Hey, Eminem isn’t joking when he says Encore sucked a lot of dicks. I remember thinking that Eminem must have been on something, or that he lost it, because Encore was trash. It almost made me stop listening to rap it was so awful.

4)      Linkin Park – whatever the last one was. Linkin Park hadn’t put out a cd in a long time. They came out with the cliché “This is our heaviest record” bit. Of course, that means that it was full of songs that sounded the same. Someone who apparently hates me, bought this trash for me. I remember Mike saying that Linkin Park didn’t need to cuss. Apparently, their record sales meant that it was time to start cussing, because they did. The song Nobody’s Listening was on the cd before this, but that song sucks some ass and was the reason that I made the list.

5)      Smashing Pumpkins – Zeitgeist. I bought this mainly on good will. I like tarantula. That’s about the only song on here that’s any good. There are maybe one or two more. Mainly, the rest was fucking garbage. There is a reason that Best Buy was the only store to sell this or something like that. Siamese Dream was great. Half of Melon Collie was. That should have been a 1 cd release instead of two. Billy Corgan was also kinda responsible for another cd I could have listed, the Taproot release Blue Sky. That was incredibly awful. I listened to Gift and whatever the second one was called, and I think I grew out of them. Sorry Taproot. Whatever happened to them? They vanished after Blue Sky. I also take credit for that.

Thanks for reading. There are previews going up Thursday and Friday. Book it.
