Luis Yanez takes on Joseph Angel Rios in “The Final Conflict”

StateDepthChart1

Super Flyweight Texas Champion, Luis Yanez (5-0-1) from Dallas, Texas will be in the Alamo City to take care of business against Joseph Angel Rios (10-6-2, 4 KO’s). This will be what is to be called “The Final Conflict” between these two fighters. Back in June of 2009, Yanez defeated Rios by unanimous decision here in Frisco, Texas. And in February of 2011 in Fort Worth, Texas, they met again and the judge’s cards called it a draw.

Because of the war of words and the disdain that each fighter has for each other, on March 24, 2012, they will meet for the final time. Yanez is out to erase the draw on his record and prove that it was not a real draw. Yanez is quoted as saying “He should have taken the draw and made a living off of it. When we get in the ring again, I will separate his mind from reality!!” Rios is out to prove otherwise and do it in front of his local fans in San Antonio, Texas, and he is quoted as saying “I will smoke Yanez like a cheap cigar when we fight for the third and final time.”

The tale of the tape between these fighters may make the difference this time around. At the age of 23, the younger Yanez is coming off a unanimous decision over Jamal Parram (5-4-1, 4KO’s) back in February of this year on ESPN Friday Night Fights. The older Rios, age 30, is coming off a loss by unanimous decision against Fernando Lumacad (24-3-3, 11KO‘s) in November of 2011 [Rios down in rd 2 & rd 5].  Although Rios may have more professional fights under his belt, the younger Yanez is out to prove in 2012 that he is a fighter to be reckoned with in his weight division.  The fight is scheduled for 8 rounds this time around and Yanez is out to prove he is the better fighter. Look out for an explosive match between these two fighters and the winner to be Yanez, from Dallas, Texas. The fight is scheduled in San Antonio, Texas and will be held at the Maverick Plaza in the Villita. Other scheduled fighters on the card include James Cantu, Steven Hall, and Rolando Campos.
