Fort Worth’s James Vick may have fallen short on his bid to win this past season’s “The Ultimate Fighter Live” but the amiable semi-finalist out of Phalanx MMA Academy is making the most of his opportunities. With Vick being brought into the UFC’s fold the humble fighter has found his popularity skyrocket. With this newfound fame come the pressures and opportunities never before enjoyed by Vick.
To the point, Vick has seen an unexpected demand for him to host seminars to impart young hopeful fighters on the techniques and mindset that he employed to not only making it into the “TUF” house, but make it all the way to the show’s semi-final bout. Already having notched a successful striking seminar in Longview, Vick will look to share his wealth of knowledge to DFW fighters when he hosts a striking/takedown seminar this Saturday from his base at Phalanx MMA Academy.
The seminar will be from 11 AM – 2 PM and Vick will go over various striking techniques and drills as well as show some of his patented takedown defense. The cost to attend the seminat is $40 and you can pay it at the door.
