Top Rank featherweight Roberto Marroquin (23-2, 16 KO’S) from Dallas, Texas takes on Nicaraguan Daniel Diaz (19-5-1, 15 KO’S) at the Red River Rumble in Oklahoma on Saturday June 29, 2013 at the Winstar Casino.  It’s only an hour and a half from Dallas, Texas, and every time he fights he fills the seats with a multitude of fans from Dallas and the surrounding metroplex.  Marroquin is the same age as his boxing record, and that means he is just beginning to become a threat in the featherweight division.  Two fights ago he went the distance against Guillermo Rigondeaux (12-0, 8KO’s) for the WBA World Super Bantamweight Title, and although he did not win, he had Rigondeaux in trouble in several of the rounds.  Rigondeaux has since moved on and taken the WBO Super Bantamweight Title from the Filipino Flash, Nonito Donaire (31-2, 20 KO’s).  Marroquin has learned from his fight with Rigondeaux that he is in the top elite of fighters in his division.  The WBO rankings have Marroquin at number eight and if he wins this fight, a title shot is possible in the near future.

In addition to the main event, fight fans can look forward to seven more exciting bouts with six undefeated fighters.
