Thanks to reader JF Keating comes this story. Pete Mickeal and his FC Barcelona squad took down the Lakers last night, 92-88. Mickeal led the way with 26 points, 13 rebounds, 7 assists, a steal, a block and he saved a young child who was about to be run over by a bus after the game. Mickeal hit 4 free throws in the final 15 seconds to ice it. He also fouled Kobe, who was shooting a three, to get back to the line for the last two. Mickeal hit the big shot, a 3, to make the score 84-78.
It’s great to see Pete getting it done against the Lakers. Even though he never had an NBA career, he’s obviously done well for himself in Europe. Great to see.
I wrote about Pete’s UC career and some about his European career here.
