UC Draws Georgia for Big East/SEC Invitational

In a piece of news nearly as disappointing as the death of the Macho Man Randy Savage (ohhhh yeah dig it RIP), the Cincinnati Bearcats are heading to Athens on Friday, December 2 to play the Georgia Bulldogs. Georgia made the NCAA tournament with a 21-12 record a season ago, but lose their best player, Travis Leslie, to the NBA draft. The teams that were rumored for the Bearcats to play were Vandy, Alabama, Auburn and Kentucky. The way things broke, Vanderbilt is going on the road to play Louisville, Kentucky hosts St John’s, Auburn goes on the road to Seton Hall, and Alabama hosts Georgetown.

Georgia could be a solid team, but I dunno, it’s very uninspiring. If you are going to play a team from the SEC, you want a top dog, not a middle of the road team. With how up and down the middle of the SEC has been lately, this could be a bleh game. Here’s hoping that Georgia is solid this season. If not, add this to the Oklahoma game for the list of games that would be better on the football field. The whole list of games follows.
