…that’s as sloppy a win as you’re going to see, but you’ve got to love the fight in this team. They never give up and always play till the final whistle. Also helps when the opponent’s goaltender is a complete sieve.
…nice to see Sauer get the game winner after such a horrific giveaway in the first period.
…never rooted so hard for the Rangers to score a power play goal after the Neal charge on Callahan. No better form of revenge.
…man Boogaard caught a right hand from Carkner. He might be out a few games.
…Stepan starting to make a case to be mentioned in Calder talk.
…got to give Torts credit for moving Fedotenko to the first line. Although I said the same thing about Avery last week so you never know.
…let’s hope Eminger is ok. Did I really just say that?
…30 minutes for Staal tonight!!!
…despite playing less than nine minutes I thought Avery had a very effective game. C’mon Torts got to give the future All Star more minutes.
…looks like Frolov has added boarding to his repertoire which currently includes the wraparound and pretty much nothing else.
…while I enjoyed watching Gabby the play maker tonight still waiting for Gabby the goal scorer to get going.
…Rangers new first power play unit: Avery, Dubinsky, Prust, Sauer and Girardi. Why not? They looked great on the game winner.
…nice return to the lineup from Gilroy. Thought he looked real comfortable out there despite being a healthy scratch since Nov. 27.
…off tomorrow then on to Columbus Saturday night.
