The New York Rangers (17-13-1) lost to the Columbus Blue Jackets (16-11-1) by the score of 3-1, tonight. For a recap and box score go to Yahoo! Sports and newyorkrangers.com.

…i’ve said it all year, we’re just going to have to expect games like this all season. There’s just not enough offensive talent on this team, especially with Gaborik and Frolov not scoring, to think any game is a lay up.

…man I hate to kill Hank but he has to work on keeping his skate on the post. It must be double digits the amount of goals he’s given up from behind the net in his career.

…i know they had a power play goal tonight, but boy did it come up small when they needed it the most.

…as always, bad call costs the the Rangers on the Christensen penalty.

…not sure what Avery has to do to get more ice time. He’s again one of the better players on the ice and is once again under 10 minutes of ice time. Frolov had six more minutes of ice than Avery tonight. C’mon Torts.

…i’ve been very critical of Staal’s offensive game not materializing during his career, but he is beginning to step it up this season and is on pace for double digits for the first time.

…thought Anisimov showed some signs of hopefully breaking out of his slump.

…no time to dwell on this one as Ovechkin and the Caps invade MSG tomorrow night.
