NHL.com released this week’s All Star balloting numbers and Sean Avery moved up two spots to #18 for forwards with 93,600 votes.
Avery jumped over Jeff Carter and Nicholas Backstrom.
Avery is now 125,000 votes out of the third and final spot down from 130,000 last week.
Almost 100,000 votes from the Avery write-in campaign is so mind boggling to me. Outstanding work by everyone voting and getting out the vote.
There are still three more weeks to cut into this deficit and I’m not giving up. I’m counting on “Vote for Avery Day” this Thursday to make up a lot of ground.
