Larry Brooks at the New York Post writes this about the chance sof next year’s Winter Classic being played at Citi Field…
“The Mets have a better chance of Oliver Perez throwing a three-hit shutout to win the World Series than they do of getting the NHL to award the Winter Classic to Citi Field.”
…would have liked a little more insight as to why Brooks feels this way. Has he heard something? How about some reasoning.
…having said that Brooks is probably right. If it’s going to be in the New York area, the NHL will probably do it at the new Meadowlands.
