Here’s Tort’s pre-game presser courtesy of Jesse Spector at the Blueshirts Blog…
Original Post:
Michael Del Zotto will be back in the line-up after sitting four straight games. Meaning Matt Gilroy goes back to the press box.
John Tortorella adds that it was a very tough decision to sit Gilroy, but Del Zotto won’t learn by sitting out more.
Marty Biron will start tonight.
In injury news, Vinny Prospal suffered a set back in his recovery from knee surgery and Torts is hoping, not expecting, he’ll play this season.
While Ryan Callahan (broken hand) is still 3-4 weeks away and there is still no update on Derek Boogaard (concussion).
…hate to see Gilroy (a +8 on the season by the way) back in the press box after playing so well, but like Torts says there’s only so much Del Zotto is going to learn watching. It’s either play him here or down with the Whale. Not sure who else would have sat. Rozy had a good game last night and others have been playing well all year.
…terrible news on the injury front. Nothing to feel positive about there. Was hoping Prospal’s return would jump start Gaborik, but doesn’t look like that’s going to happen anytime soon or at all.
