Andrew Gross at Rangers Rants has this quote from Michael Del Zotto on trying to make the power play better…
“I’ve just got to put some of the onus on myself and take more control on the power play,” said Del Zotto. “We need somebody to step up and make one big play. I’m kind of hard on myself but somebody’s got to do. That’s what they’ve looked at me since the first day I got here.”
…actions speak louder than words, but I do like what I’m hearing.
Also sensing the need to step up Marian Gaborik said this…
“Maybe I’ve got to work for it more,” Gaborik said. “I’ve just got to skate. That creates room for myself and the other people, too.”
…not sure what to think about this quote. Is Gaborik saying he hasn’t worked hard this year? Don’t like the sound of that. I guess trying to rectify it now is better late than never.
