Championat.ru, citing hockey.cz, reports that #NYR Vinny Prospal will not play for Czechs at World Championship due to health (knee?)
Laurie also reports that Marian Gaborik will play for host Slovakia, while Artem Anisimov will play for Russia.
The Worlds run from April 29 thru May 5.
…i’d normally be against Gabby playing in the Worlds due to risk of injury, but I’m hoping he’ll be able to recapture his scoring touch that he lost this year.
…as I said the other day regarding Prospal, I really appreciated all he brought to the team and his celebrations are second to none, but Rangers need to cut ties with him this offseason. Too old and Rangers money would be better spent elsewhere.
