Yesterday Larry Brooks reported that Brandon Dubinsky is seeking a $4.5 million per year deal. However, Jesse Spector of the Daily News tweets this…

On the report out today that Dubinsky seeks $4.5M per year — it didn’t come from his camp.
…Brooks is more hit than miss on his rumors, so I’m not going to completely dismiss his report. Either way, Dubi’s camp is smart to deny the report as most Rangers fans I’ve seen don’t feel Dubinsky is worth that number.
Rick Carpinello at the Rangers Report adds that Rangers fans need to relax because all Dubinsky is doing is starting out the negotiations with the $4.5 million number. However, Carp does feel Dubinsky will end up with $4 million.
…man, I hope Carp is wrong here. Rangers need to get the number under $4 million. How’s $3.75 million?
