The Rangers have released their 2011-12 schedule today.

As has been announced the Rangers will start the season in Sweden. They will then play the Islanders at the Coliseum before embarking on a four game Western Canada road trip through Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton and Winnipeg.

The home opener is on October 27th against the Maple Leafs.

The Rangers will be in the Winter Classic on Monday, January 2nd against the Flyers in Philadelphia. The schedule says 1pm but I’m pretty sure it’s going to be 7pm.

The Rangers final four games are against the Bruins, Flyers, Penguins and Capitals.

…wow those final four games are brutal. Nice to see the Blackhawks and Red Wings will visit MSG.

…let me hear your thoughts on the schedule.
