The final numbers are in and we ended up raising $7,000 for Defending the Blue Line through sales of the Boogaard Memorial Logo t-shirt.
When I first put this Derek Boogaard Memorial Logo contest together I thought we’d be able to raise maybe a couple of hundred dollars. So to end up with $7,000 is really unbelievable.
A huge thanks to everyone who purchased shirts, submitted a design, voted or spread the word. You are all responsible for this outstanding gift to Defending the Blue Line and honoring the memory of Boogaard.
Special thanks go to Jeff at Glass Bangers, the New York Rangers and Minnesota Wild organizations and Steve Somers of WFAN.
Shirts are being produced and they should all be in the mail by July 11th.
