Steve Zipay at Blue Notes reports that Rangers Assistant Director of Player Personnel Jeff Gorton will replace Cam Hope, who left the team after seven years in the front office, as an assistant general manager.
Gorton was an assistant general manager of the Bruins for seven years.
Larry Brooks adds this is not a shake-up as Schoenfeld, Messier and Risebrough remain on board.
…congrats to Gorton. He’s done an amazing job along with Clark stocking the Rangers system with top, young talent.
