The New York Rangers have posted a job opening for Manager of Hockey Administration. Here are the details…
“Responsibilities: The Manager of Hockey Administration will manage the daily hockey administration aspects of the NY Rangers Hockey Administration Dept. throughout the hockey season and during the off-season supporting the President and General Manager, Assistant General Manager (AGM), Assistant General Manager Player Personnel, and GM Development Club. Assists the AGM with player contractual issues, including preparation, registration and distribution of contracts and related documentation to the appropriate parties. Works directly with Manager of Scouting on player contract and department immigration issues. Serves as liaison with all NYR operational departments (coaching staff, training staff, scouts and other department personnel) on team administrative matters. Acts as liaison between the Hockey Administration Dept. and the Rangers Development Club, various NHL offices, other NHL team personnel, and player agents. Communicates with all relative MSG departments in relation to player acquisitions and player related issues.
Requirements: College graduate with experience with the CBA and the NHL; experience in the legal field is an asset. Strong organizational and time management skills. Excellent communication skills and ability to interact with all levels of management. Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality, diplomacy and professionalism at all times. Ability to work independently. Ability to work in a fast paced environment and demonstrate flexibility in order to formulate/implement appropriate solutions.
