– Marian Gaborik returned Friday afternoon from Slovakia, where he spoke at the memorial for Pavol Demitra, and skated in the final group at training camp today. He will undergo his physical tests at another time. Here’s Gaborik on importance of getting on the ice with Brad Richards (via Rangers Report)…

“Yeah, we skated two or three times together. You can see how he handles himself on the ice. He’s just a natural playmaker. The plays he makes, they’re great. You know you’re going to get it on your tape. I think we’re going to get used to each other pretty quickly.”

– On Friday, Michael Del Zotto was the only returning member of the Rangers from last season who did not skate  in Group 1 or Group 2. Here’s Del Zotto on how he plans on getting better this season (via Blueshirts Blog)…

“Play every day like it’s my last, pretty much,” Del Zotto said. “Not take any practices or games off. Especially with (John Tortorella), you’ve got to earn everything. Nothing’s going to be given to you and I’m not going to be given ice time based on how I played my first year, especially on the power play.”

– Artem Anisimov skated without pain today after results of his an MRI on his left knee were negative yesterday. Anisimov said he had originally hurt his knee earlier this offseason during an off-ice workout. (Ranger Rants)
