Staal Not on Ice At All Today (Updated)

Update, 4:13 p.m.:
John Tortorella says Staal wasn’t feeling well today so they sent him home.

Torts thinks this is just how it’s going to go with Staal, evaluating how he feels every day. Wouldn’t say Staal had headaches.

Reiterating from yesterday, Torts says Rangers are looking to bring in a veteran defenseman. Trade or invite.

Lastly, Torts feels Steve Eminger has been the best defenseman in the first two scrimmages.

…not sure why Rangers are even messing with this. If he’s still not feeling well, just shut him down.

…while I thought the McCabe trade last year was a bust, wonder if the Rangers would give him a call since he’s yet to sign with a new team yet.

…well that’s not good. If he can’t even participate in the post-scrimmage workout not sure how he’s supposed to be ready for the regular season in just a few weeks.
