Don’t Forget Fogarty

Jesse Rubenstein at The Prospects Park reminds us that lost in all the prospect talk lately is Rangers 2011 3rd round pick (received pick in Grachev trade to St. Louis) Steven Fogarty.

The Minnesota High School standout, who has been out west playing for the Pentiction Vees of the BCHL (a Junior A league), scored his first goal of the season as his Vees won on the road 5-2 over the Coquitlam Express.

Fogarty, who Rubenstein says has a body like a nose tackle (6′ 3″, 200), has a letter of intent to play for Notre Dame starting next season and has the tools to become a legit power forward in the NHL. His game is pure power and strength. Once he goes to the crease he can’t be moved.

…maybe the Grachev trade wasn’t that bad. This kid sounds sick.
